Conference Venue
The meeting will take place on in the Wistari Room of the Heron Island Resort, in Queensland, Australia. Heron Island is a coral cay located 72 km (50 miles) north-east of Gladstone, and 460 km (290 miles) north of Brisbane, the state capital. There is easy access to the adjacent coral reefs and ample opportunities for scuba and other outdoors activities.
Accommodation
We have reserved a block of rooms at the Heron Island Research Station and at the nearby Resort. Both locations are only separated by a few hundred metres. Details on how to reserve a room will soon follow.
Travel: getting to Heron Island
The easiest way to get to Heron Island is to fly to Brisbane international airport (BNE) and take a direct flight to Gladstone airport (GLT). We recommend arriving in Gladston on the Saturday 25th. We will meet at the Ferry Terminal on Sunday the 26th between 8 and 8.30 am. The ferry ticket fare will be included in the registration fees.
